ESENCIA.PATAGONIA RENEWS ITS B CORP CERTIFICATION

The high-end travel company has renewed its B Corp certification, reinforcing its role as a leader in conscious tourism across Latin America. 

This recognition is more than an external validation — it affirms a long-term commitment to generating real positive impact: environmental, social, and economic — in every aspect of the company’s operations.

In a global context where tourism must face the challenge of regenerating what it once impacted, Esencia.Patagonia doubles down on a way of traveling that heals, respects, and transforms.

The recertification marks a key milestone in the company’s journey, demonstrating its adherence to high socio-environmental standards and its ongoing effort to measure, manage, and enhance its impact. Of the 9,879 B Corps worldwide, 265 are based in Argentina.

Measuring to Transform

The B Corp Certification is granted by B Lab, a nonprofit organization based in the United States. It rigorously evaluates companies across five key dimensions: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. Achieving certification involves a thorough review and continuous improvement process, updated every three years under increasingly demanding standards.

“This process allowed us to structure, measure, and strengthen our positive impact, beyond rhetoric. It helps us make better decisions and align our operations with our core values,” says Nahuel Alonso, CEO of Esencia.Patagonia.

But for the company, certification is just the beginning. “We wanted to go further,” Alonso adds. That’s how the Esencia Transformation Fund was born — a concrete tool for regenerative investment. A percentage of every trip’s fee is allocated to support conservation and community development projects in the destinations visited by the agency.

The fund supports initiatives such as native forest restoration, wildlife protection, environmental education, youth workshops, and the strengthening of local grassroots organizations.
